    Shooting Rules

  1. Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
  2. Never point a gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
  3. Wear proper eye and ear protection when on the shooting range as a shooter or non-shooter.
  4. Keep your eyes on targets and target fragments because they may fly in any direction, including towards the shooter.
  5. Make sure your gun barrel is clear of obstructions before shooting.
  6. Load your gun only when on the firing line.
    *Never turn from the firing station or move to a new station with a loaded gun. *Load only one or two shells, depending on the game.
    *Load one shell at a time on Skeet Station 8.
  7. Do not close the action of your gun until it is your turn to call for the target.
  8. Only Skeet and Trap loads may be used on Skeet and Trap fields. No more than three dram equivalent loads are permitted.
  9. If a shell fails to fire when the trigger is released, wait at least thirty seconds before opening the gun action and be sure the gun is pointed away from all others.
  10. When not shooting, always keep the action open and stand gun on rack.
  11. Carry your gun unloaded, open and pointed to the sky if an auto-loader, and broken and pointed to the ground if an over-and-under.
  12. Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No one is permitted to shoot under the age of 10.
  13. Those shooters wishing to reload their spent shells should wait until the conclusion of the round prior to picking up their shells. All spent shells left on the ground become the property of the Club.
  14. All members and guests are required to sign a release waiver each calendar year.
  15. It is the responsibility of members to sign in all guests and have guests sign waivers.
  16. Members will be held responsible for the conduct of their guests.
  17. Guest fees and special event fees may be charged
  18. The Club will not be responsible for injuries sustained by any person in and around the shooting area or for the loss of personal property.
  19. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the shooting fields or in the Shooting Lodge. No shooter is permitted to drink alcohol prior to shooting.
  20. Scheduled events will take priority over other shoots.
  21. Trappers and shooters are authorized to call “Cease Fire” for any safety reason and all shooting shall stop on such a command.
  22. No discharge of any rifle or pistol is permitted.
